That's a fairly distorted view of the world, Don.

Should we also view an attempt on our lives as a "gift"?

what Don is saying is that from a higher perspective- everything can be seen as "good" even those experiences that are painful, they can help you to see things in a different light, change you as a person, make you more compassionate, more aware, and can reveal to you your authentic self

in a way we all help each other, by just Being..

reading other fellow R&S answers have helped me- to gain perspective and open my mind and my heart

Don's answer is not reflecting a distorted view of the world. His is a valid view and I also actually experience the World that way. Glass is half empty or half full according to the way u look at it or react to it. Someone makes an attempt at your life and u end up learning self-defense and gaining so much in self-esteem depending on ur reaction to that situation. So despite others' mal-intentions, they might end up helping u. AND IT ACTUALLY HAPPENS.

Everyone.

You just need to stay open enough to notice.

I try to see all of the people who create conflict in my life as a gift. They help me to develop love and patience. I need a lot of help and the universe seems quite generous.

It seems to have an unlimited supply of people to send me who are willing to help me with this.

Love and blessings Don

I have a spiritual and philosophical mentor. He helps me to see truth and meaning. He does this on a regular basis.
