I can only hate a book if I'm forced to read it. Books to date that fall into this category:
Ethan Frome
The Odyssey
Beowulf

I tried a Barbara Cartland romance once. Complete waste of time.

I know I'll get thumbs down for this, but I really didn't like Philip Pullman's "His Dark Materials". Too much cruelty for me.

i have never read a book that i HATE.

There are some books that i don't agree with the expressed opinion of the book, but I find that those books help me look at problems with different pionts of view.

There are no bad books, just books that make others look good. If I read a book I don't like, it just makes the books I DO like even better.

i know that i am going to get a lot of thumbs down on this one but i didn't really like To Kill a Mockingbird. The reason that i didn't like it might be that i had a really boring English who made us read that book.

I hated Their Eyes Were Watching God. The dialect just made it impossible to get into. I know what she was going for, but I just found it distracting.

I hated Lolita by Vladamir Nabokov.

I know many people, and critics, consider it to be an amazing piece of literature but I absolutely hated it.

"Now You See It"

I couldn't even finish it! And now I might have to read it again in school this year!

Also sorry if my answer doesn't make sense or something I can't tell it is getting late and I am so tired!
