Could it be "I'm in Love with a German Film Star" by The Passions? They hailed from around 1981 and the lead singer was a woman. Although not a chorus, near the end of the song the words are sung "I'm in love .... I'm in love .... I'm in love .... " over and over.

the words are reminisant of an old disco song by donna summers. I feel love.
