If reports say the war on terror is prompting Al Qaeda, what fueled them prior to and on 9/11?

This is far more simple than the previous answers or conspiracies. This all happened because of a fatwa. "A fatwā (Arabic: فتوى; plural fatāwā Arabic: فتاوى), is a considered opinion in Islam made by a mufti, a scholar capable of issuing judgments on Sharia (Islamic law). Usually a fatwa is issued at the request of an individual or a judge to settle a question where fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) is unclear".
Those responsible for this fatwa didn't have the credentials needed to make a fatwa. Al qaeda made a fatwa against its own citizens first so they could kill those who disagreed with them. They wish to get back Israel which has a sacred Mosque and since Israel is helped by the US and would be wiped from the map without us they made a fatwa against us. They are radicles and don't represent the religion at all. In fact, they have made things worse for themselves now. Also, the land Isreal occupies was theirs before Mahamd murdered thousands and turned churches into steeples causing the crusades. They think of us as the problem which just isn't the case. I know this is hard for us in western cultures to understand but is quite simple. Radical Muslims believe we should all be Muslims and if we aren't then they are justified in killing us. In the end, if Normal Muslims don't get control of the radicals they will all be destroyed. This would be a sad day in human history. So, the answer is hate based on religon. They hate people without religion more than Jews or Christians.

According to what we know as common knowledge now Osama bin Laden was set up in Afghanistan by the CIA as freedom fighters against the Russians. Once this threat was no longer a viable enemy to keep the masses from questioning military expenses the CIA lost interest and stopped funding bin Laden and his group (now known as Al Qaeda). This resulted in bin Laden losing his power within his group and also with the US needing a new enemy. Therefore it was a nice way for all parties to get what they wanted bin Laden gaining control over his rag tag organisation and calling it Al Qaeda and trying to hijack a religion, and the US getting a new enemy to focus the masses on so that spending on military wasn’t questioned. An added bonus for all concerned was that world wide the cost of crude oil increased thus everybody made a tidy profit while the common people paid for it.

Maybe I am wrong in my opinion but hey it’s just a theory after all. If you find out the real answer please let me know.

The motivation for 9/11 is supposedly a crazy conpiracy theory. This theory has been promoted by the US government and repeated incessantly by the US mainstream media.

We need to understand who was involved in 9/11 and what the motivation really was. Unfortunately, the government immediately removed evidence from the crime scene (steel support beams), and the government seemed to have press releases ready ahead of time. The government commission reports start with a predetermined conclusion and works backward. The 9/11 commission report is incomplete and facually inaccurate.

The motivation of the alleged conspirators is a big unanswered question.

I don't know; maybe they were fueled by the failure of their first attack on the WTC in 1993.
Or maybe they were just frustrated that we wouldn't submit to their rule.
I remember, Osama said he thought the attacks of 9/11 would cause a lot of people to become Muslim, because they showed that Islam is strong.
Unfortunately for Osama, a lot of Americans concluded that Islam is cruel and ruthless.
Of course, real Islam isn't like Osama's "Islam."

Go way back to the hostage crisis in the Carter era. They don't want American influence (embassies) on their soil.
Remember they tried the twin towers once before and it wasn't as successful, they also bombed the USS Cole during the Clinton era and went unpunished, they also bombed our military barracks in Saudi Arabia, it goes on and on. 9/11 was just something they put in our face on our soil.

The first Gulf War in 1991. I think they viewed the 1991 invasion as an attack on their holy land and I think that's what prompted the first attacks on the World Trade Center in 1993 and the subsequent bombings of the embassies.
