You can get an STD from oral sex whether you have a tongue ring or cuts or not, but yes, having open wounds in your mouth makes it more likely that you would be infected by a disease. You can keep the risk low by always using a condom (for a man) or dental dam (for a woman) for oral sex. Not letting a man come in your mouth, and not going down on a woman during her period are other ways of reducing risk. But a condom or dental dam is your best bet.

can't say that sort of thing here!!!
I think you should know that tongue piercings can cause lots of medical and dental problems, like chipping the enamel off your teeth and wearing a hole through the roof cavity of your mouth.
That'll be a hell of a trick, when your snot will be running into your mouth. take it out now before its to late.....
