Those in the entertainment industry feel guilty about how much energy is consumed to fuel their productions.
See, most people just go about their daily lives without giving it too much thought. This is because most people aren't witnessing the glutinous, virtuously meaningless and wasteful use of materials and manpower like we see in the entertainment industry. I would urge anyone interested in this to read about the study done by UCLA.
Entertainment types, are therefore, more focused on it than people in the population at large. What makes them offensive, however, is that they crusade for change in the daily lives of everyone except themselves (as an industry). Perhaps now with the UCLA study...the hypocrites will realize that they're actually the worst of the bunch.

I think liberals in general or concerned about Global Warming. Hollywood liberals are just more vocal about it because, well, they can be.
