i'll take pretty much anything chevy, monte carlo or camaro maybe. Throw out whatever is in it and buy a crate 572 engine and destroy anything on the streets with 650 horsepower. Throw on a supercharger and wow.

If this is going to also be a street car,I would say go for a GM "G" body(Monte Carlo or Buick Regal). If this is going to be a track car,go for a Chevy Monza(75-80).These are some lightweights that haul.I am a GN person, and can make one move,I am partial to Buick performance, but the best muscle cars made were 68-70 Mopar hemi's,69-70 Boss 302-429 Mustangs, and anything GM 65-70.

If that's a real "muscle vehicle", with a extreme-overall performance engine built interior the 1960-Seventies, having the unique engine interior the vehicle has collector's interest and will strengthen the final fee of the vehicle (a 'matching numbers vehicle'). to that end, that's ultimate to rebuild the unique engine. If this is between the greater moderen phony muscle autos, then it relatively would not remember. bypass with a clean crate engine that meets the unique specs for exhaust emissions.

dude no contest go the hemi.
you build a ford you build a tow car
you build a chev its a poor man race car
you build a hemi you build a real car as all the new car companies build thier tuff stuff based on the hemi.
I am a ford woman but i just have to say a hemi is the best
