Simply because Conservatives are always saying good things about the USA, and liberals always have to take the opposite tack, no matter what. Do you not recall Dingy Harry declaring that we lost?

The United States has a great Constitution and the Freedom of Speech is envied by many people around the world.

The U.S. has the best assortment of National Parks and Professional Sports Leagues in the World.

The U.S. has been innovative in both technology development and, for the most part, in the film industry.

Economically the U.S. is the most Conservative "Democracy" with huge descrepencies in wealth, education and healthcare between its wealthiest 20% and the bottom 80% and little social safety net.

U.S. Foreign Policy has been akin to a Rogue State with more than 735 U.S. Military bases scattered around the world including the entire Arabian peninsula before 9/11/2001; and a long list of illegal invasions and attacks including Iraq, Yugoslavia, Panama, Nicaragua, Viet Nam and Cambodia.

Liberals for the most part are self-hating Americans. It's a strange symptom of Liberalism these days that America must be the bad guy in all things. Being proud you're American, or relishing the fact that the world is better off with us around makes you a "Nazi" or worse. The only time they feel good about America is when they can talk about how second-place we are to Europeans who they idolize as role models. A very odd breed these Liberals.

Because maybe Liberals are willing to face the fact that America is not all what it claims to be. Disagreement, unpatriotism, pacifism, and charity does not make us communists. Sorry, but Glenn Beck is a terrible source on this issue.

I've heard Conservatives say they don't like America because Liberals are in it... What does that say to you? I say great things about America EVERY day. Why? Because I love America and I wouldn't want anything else. I don't, however, love this administration. Those are two separate things.
