All of a sudden this creepy music with no singing starting coming out of my computer and it won't stop, it's been going on for a ******** hour now and it's really creeping me out.

And i know it's not from a music site or anything because i'v only gone onto online clothes shops and yahoo answers so i'm stumped.

Does anyone know how i can stop it besides retarting my comp, but my main question is why is it doing this?

Do i have a virus and how could i have gotten it ? because the only thinga i go onto are myspace, online clothing shops and gossip sites.

Any help is appreciated :)

Try a free online virus scan of your computer, available from here:
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

or here:

http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner

This will determine if your computer has a virus.

It seems like someone sent you a auto playing music file to your computer. If you restart your computer it may start playing again. Go to your start>all programs> start up and see if a music file is in there and delete it. If not you have to Ctrl alt delete and view precess and see what file is running playing the music and close it. Make sure you close the right file.

perhaps you may have accidentally clicked on an advert that was really hiding a virus etc.
i suggest running a full virus scan and then rebooting after that.
are you sure its not a song of yours? windows media player bugged? because if so that may be it

Um, it could be one of those hidden pop ups from a site, did you try to force quit your browser, or restarting?

Please make sure there is no music CD in the drive.

You told us where you go, but you didn't say what kind of antivirus software you have. Is it up to date?
