Where other than church can kids my own age sing at?

I'm 12 years old and yes, I can sing.

Try seeing if there's a local children's chorale. Those groups get together at least once a week and perform as often as they are able.

There are also other types of performance troupes, you just have to seek them out. Call local theatres, costume shops, music schools, etc. Any place that people who perform frequent and ask if they know of anything like that. Chances are someone will. Even city recreation classes have these things available so call every place you can think of and ask.

You can start singing as an entertainer if you have a list of songs. Michael Jackson started singing with the rest of the Jacksons at the age of 8.

Alternatively, many if not most schools have music programs. You can see if your school does or if there is a school nearby that does. There are also youth choirs. I had a friend that was in one. You might also want to keep a look out for eisteddfods or other musical competitions.
