Convert to their religion? (without changing anything about you realistically). I mean if this was the only way you two could be happy would you do it for love? Or at least pretend to convert infront of the partners families eyes not to impress them but to help in making sure your partner is not disowned or shunned by the family? And then afterwards you can be as you are!
I know this is a tricky question but it justs come down to how much you love someone especially after a long period of time such as 4 years. If you knew this person was the one for you, what would you do and why?

You said it. "it just comes down to how much you love someone." In my case, my love for this woman meant more to me than my religion. So I converted happily. To some people, however, their religion is stronger than their love for the partner.

i would not change who i am just so his parents would be happy if he really trully loves you he would n ot ask you to do that i mean come on now
why should you convert why cant he i mean its a 2 way street of give and take
you should not have to change who you are to be happy take a step back and think about your life with him no one should have to change even in pretend or infront of some ones eyes to be happy thats wrong you shoudl be who you are not what they want you to be

if they truely love you back. their not going to ask u to change. they already love u the way u are, if u have to change for somone.i'd question their sincerity.
