FAMOUS QUOTES FROM COMRADE HILLARY:

(1) "We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."

(2) "It's time for a new beginning, for an end to government of the few, by the few, and for the few, and to replace it with shared responsibility for shared prosperity."

(3) "(We) can't just let business as usual go on, and that means something has to be taken away from some people."

(4) "We have to build a political consensus, and that requires people to give up a little bit of their own turf in order to create this common ground."

(5) "I certainly think the free-market has failed."

(6) "I think it's time to send a clear message to what has become the most profitable sector in (the) entire economy - that they are being watched."

You could imagine that these pearls of socialist/Marxist wisdom from Karl Marx, but these are from none other than our very own home-grown Marxist. . . .

Care to put any of those statements IN CONTEXT?

Given the current level of corruption and illegality pervading our government and government as a result of the Bush administration policies--there are plenty of conntexts for any one of those statments to be entirely balid.

For example--I assume by "most profitable sector" she means the oil companies. Okay--they are profiteering on the oil price rise (which is not a "free market" whatever they claim). They have been proven to have (and continue) to disseminate false information about environmental issues. They (again, this is proven, not supposition) have deliberately manipulated markets and restricted output to drive up prices.

No one--conservative or liberal--with any sense is going to pretend these people don't need to be watched--very closely.

So--if you are going to criticize Hillary-fine. IF you do it fairly. Smear tactics are not fair. So next time you want to put something like this up--play fair--put it in context and then state why you think she's wrong.

Like any quotes, I would have to know the context in which they were said first.

For instance, #2: Those lucky enough to be filthy rich enjoy a much less tax rate than most of America. This is unfair. It could also mean that their aren't enough "normal" people in politics. Politics is generally dominated by people wealthy enough to wage a long campaign and afford to travel across the country. Most people could not do this.

I do not know the context of #2, or any of the others, but these quotes should not all be taken at face value.

So we're supposed to take your word for it that the quotes are correct?

I've seen most of them. You should see what she says about illegal immigrants.
