He only had one assist in his first two games last year...............did you worry then?

In fact, last year, he was held scoreless 3x in the first 5 games. Were you worrying then?

Erica,
Sid's a great player, he'll make the most of his chances. When April comes, he'll be at or near the top of the scoring race. Nothing is ever won in October........except the World Series

Did you watch those two games? If you did, even if you had no prior knowledge of what kind of player Crosby is, you still wouldn't be too concerned for him.

They couldn't show enough replays of Crosby's dekes in the Canes game Friday. He or whoever he passed to just couldn't get it past Cam Ward, who had a good game.

Saturday's game, against the Ducks, he sacrificed himself by blocking a shot with his ankle and limped to the bench. He does the little things and picks up the slack. He played on two lines at one point, the 1st and 4th, and had the most icetime out of all the forwards. Only 3 defensemen had more icetime than Crosby, and only by 3 minutes.

I'm not remembering who it was, but someone on the Penguins said that maybe Crosby won't get as much points but could still have a better season than last.

He did very well in the preseason games he played in. The Canes game was just horrible for all the Penguins. Also Crosby was lightly injured early on in the game against the Ducks, he took a shot right in the foot (luckily not the one he broke last year).

I think he will have a good year, you really can't tell much from two games.

What did you expect from him? 50 goals already? Relax, he's just getting back into it all. And all the pressure with being captain and that amazing season last year doesn't help it. People have to back off. He's a great player, but off the ice he's still a maturing 20 year-old kid.
