i think some of that is because there are so many who remember that although poor prosecution kept him from being found guilty in the criminal case, when he had to get on the witness stand himself, the civil jury believed that he had killed Nicole and Ron so now they are waiting for news that in some way or another Karma has come back to get this man out of society, so the media coverage is keeping them aware of what is happening with this loser.

He gets so much attention because he has fallend so hard.
You have to remember that O.J. Simpson was one of those outstanding "American dreams" that everyone hears so much about. He achieved great success by using his natural talent. Being a great high school athlete doesn't ensure that you will make a smooth transition towards college ball and be just as great, but OJ did.
He faired pretty well in the NFL breaking rushing records and even being named Player of the Year. After his career as a professional athlete ended he went on to have endorsement deals, do movies, and some broadcasting. He didn't fade away as some people do.
But, of course we know how his success and the good life came to an end. Now, he's in trouble again. The media can't help but mention anything that happens concerning him because his successes in life at this point seems to be such a waste. He has literally ruined everything.

I'm sick of OJ, Britney, and Lindsey Lohan! There is more important things going on in the World to be concerned about. OJ should have known someone would set him up sooner or later (how convenient they recorded every word that was said -- who carrys a damm recorded around to sell sports items in a hotel room). Dumb!
