Usually when something bad happens say a person house burns down and word of need spreads. People put themselves in the place of the family that lost. It wells up feelings of good will. We are created to love one another..we fall short of that often. But the human spirit is mostly good...when there is a need people pour out the love and help. Too bad HUH that we don't act that way all the time. What a better world this would be.

In 1978 we had a blizzard in Ohio. We lived on a short little street with maybe 10 neighbors. No one could get out of their houses for the snow! I climbed out our kitchen window and kicked a pushed snow with a broom to open the garage door to get the shovel. Then went to our next door neighbor and shoveled until the door could open. That neighbor and I then went to the next etc., until every door opened on our street.
After shoveling to get the doors open, I had to borrow some milk to make hot cocoa.
Soon we realized no one could get to a store if they were open and we pooled our food together and helped each other! It is a time that I will always cherish we were there for each other! It was kind of like stone soup and it was the best food I ever tasted, because it came together with lots of love from other people.

It happen to my brother, he got in a motorcycle accident on the way to work, that's the time all his friends and our relatives come together to assist him in all they way they can cause he cant move with a broken arm and leg, my eldest brother was there until my mom came back and take care of him.
Some support mentally some support physically by helping my brother pay the hospital bills and such.

i've read a whole chapter on this but can't remember exactly. they need each other to survive, and they bond together in times of poverty, stress, war etc. they understand and relate to each other and the only way to make it through is to work together.
