cross multiply

cos (sin - cos + 1) = cos sin - cos^2 + cos

(sin+1)(sin + cos -1)
= sin^2 + sincos - sin + sin + cos - 1
= sincos -(1-sin^2) + cos
= sincos - cos^2 + cos = lhs
