I never met him before and he is married, I spontaneously started to cry and left the room. This person ment nothing to me, why did I react that way

because he said something very demeaning to you on a personal level. And because he is a stranger that actually makes it even worse I think, because it emphasizes how much he apparently does not care.

I would have immediately said 'if you can tell me why you are such a **** then I will tell you why you think I am ugly'. I think you might have low self esteem. You would have never buckled down like that if you did not feel that way about yourself. I think all of GOD's creatures are beautiful. GOD does not make any junk! You have to think you are the sh*t all the time regardless of what other people think. If you do not think you are the sh*t then others will not think it. It is all about what you perceive. Maybe it is how you carry yourself, your demeanor, your self confidence, your attitude, your persona. When I was younger I thought I was not pretty due to my dark complexion and my skinny, petite frame. I always felt underdeveloped. But as I got older my perception of myself changed. I remember it happened around 11th grade. I just started to become my number one fan. Now I must admit I am so arrogant, sort of overconfident. I think I am the sh*t, I walk like I am the sh*t, I talk like I am the sh*t. When I bring it I deliver 150%. You must learn to do the same.

Don't worry,t he man was a heartless, mean person, and due to the fact he had no life, he proceeded to take out his anger out on you. I don't know why you reacted this way, know that you're beautiful no matter what some creepy, nasty guy thinks. If someone said that to me I'd kick him in the crotch XD Maybe you were mad because you didn't do that.

The man is an insensitive idiot. His opinion is totally invalid, although I know his words sting.
Please don't let this man cause you pain.
The reason you reacted the way you did is that you are human. That man is cruel, and WRONG.

Ignore him. Please think about it as a lesson learn to make you stronger. When I was younger If I got bad, racist, sexist comments---I would cry my eyes out! I got use to it overtime now It means nothing to me because I am a good person with a good heart.
I do not care what people think of me. They can kiss my butts.

hard to believe there are people out there that callous and insensitive, but there apparently are. it burns my *** just thinking about what i would, could, or should do in a given situation. i'm a guy, but i think 3 points in the nuts might have been an appropriate response.

from my own personal experience, men DO NOT think before they speak. the distance between a mans brain and his mouth is not very long. i just don't understand how he can think something, realize he shouldn't say it, but says it anyway!

The guy is a heartless, uncouth, neaderthal. However, no one would say that if they really believed it. My guess it was his lame attempt at humor.
