It is all well and good to tell him to call the police but the reality is that when the police get there he is more likely to go to jail than she is. (I was a police officer and I am not just making that up). All she has to do is cry and say he started it.
He can talk to her and take her to counseling or he can leave. Those are his only real options.

Call the police and have her arrested. It is against the law to strike a person. And don't drop the charges either. See it through to a conviction which will most likely result in probation and some much needed anger management classes. Then if she hits him again while on probation have her arrested again then she will find out what spending time in jail is like. She should soon get the idea that hitting her husband will hurt her worse then him.

Same advice as I would give to any woman who is being abused, either physically or emotionally; get help from the law, a shelter, a friend or family member and Get Out Now.

If he really Loves her than he needs to tell her that she need to keep her hands off him. Other wise the next time she lashes out at him, tell him to get up and leave so that she has to deal with whatever it is all by herself. .Go and get you a room or go to a friends house, but let someone he trust know where he will be, make that somebody that will not tell her where he is. I really feel for you having to go through this. I know we marry for better and for worse but she need HELP. anger management or something. You need to do something
before she hurts you, or causes you to hurt her in order to keep her from hurting you. If nothing else call the police and file a report so if anything happends then you have a record that she is abusive. My prayers are with you, and May God Bless You. and Good Luck

That is not a man to begin with, he will be a man the day he either makes her wife stop abusing him, or have the guts to leave that woman. He doesn't love himself by the way.

Leave. Nobody deserves to be abused. Like I'd tell any woman, call the police. It is a crime.
