I am sorry, when people ask some classical music related questions, some participants like to go on and on and on forever about how they feel about the issue, I understand this is a free society, but could we at least try to make it short and to the point????

No, M?tt( I don't have the note thing on my computer) I wasn't talking about you, I never even saw your answers before.

I understand when some one is passionate about somethings he/she could talk days about it, but the point I am making here is: most people are looking for short and clear answers to their questions, and most people(including the askers and most of us) are not interested in reading pages and pages of anyone's personal opinion about some simple questions.

Take your 3+ pages of personal opinions to certain forums and spill your guts there is what I am trying to say.

Glinzek:
I am talking about "scrolling all the way down, 1000+ words " kind of length here

I agree with glinzek on this issue. Classical music is a very in depth topic, and if there is a question it often involves in-depth answers to fully answer it.

I prefer the gut spilling to the cut and paste Wiki answers and this is a forum that most opinions come from the heart and that tends to let passions spill out when it gets opened ... just let it spill and move on ... besides you don't have to read those answers when they digress ...... besides as you stated it is free society you don't have to read those answers and you shouldn't attack them

Probably referring to me...

But when someone is passionate about something, they tend to go on and on about that issue. They wish to give out how much information possible they can on that topic.

Let's say you like Dot candies..first thing I saw heh..
Someone asked what dots were...
You would, since you love them so much, would go on and talk about the Tootsie company, and the 5 flavours of variety.

So if you are passionate about something, people tend to keep going on with what they are actually comfortable to talk about.
Some people aren't comfortable talking, but when it's on a topic they like, they, like me, could go on for hours.

Simpsons is on FOX, so I'll keep this short...

If someone asks a question where a simple search (a la Google or Ask.com) would give them the answers for themselves, we have to assume a simple answer isn't enough for the questioner.

Some questions require longer answers, because the questions ask about broad subjects. If you lack the attention span to read something that takes more than 30 seconds to digest, I am as sorry as you are.

oh PLEASE you have EYES to read it, just read it, consider it as a RESPECT for those who spent time typing their views and opinions JUST FOR YOUR QUESTION, so appreciate it instead of whining and moaning, it's better than having nothing, get it?
