I take part in surveys at http://www.surveyspot.com/ . At least 90% only enter you in a drawing but nothing is being sold. I probably get about $5 a month on the paid surveys. Beware of surveys that say "Pepsi or Coke" and enter your email address. They are not surveys but sites selling services.

Another site I use is http://www.harrispollonline.com/
They only award points that can be used for gift certificates, etc.

Both companies notify you by mail about surveys. SurveySpot has a few every day and finishing one leads you to another. Harris Poll only has one every couple of weeks.

I've made money with online surveys, but it is never as much or as frequently as they would like you to believe when you sign up. Most of the time, you are just getting entries into draws, or points. I have received 5$ in the mail several times, as well as a $25 chapters gift certificate, but you really have to be quick to get in on the paying surveys.

The internet is the only advertizing campaign that they need. They think 'Oh! I bet tons of kids will fall for it if we put up something interesting...' and you know what? Most do. It's a trick they use for people to get pranked and fall for it. If you want to be smart, you can just go to actual survey/quiz sites and forget about all of the ads.

Where did you think they get they money you expect to be paid? They get it from the ADVERTISEMENTS. If you don't by, they lose advertisers and go under.

I don't know, but I guess they are hoping there are a lot of gullible people that will fall for it.
