The next president will owe a debt of gratitude to Bush, because no matter how much he screws up he will still be better than what we have now.

I voted for Carter. Anyone who can tie and cast a fly is top drawer in my book. Not only that, Carter is an accomplished author and a Nobel Prize winner. Unless they give out those prizes for whittling, Bush will not achieve on of those. Maybe, he will write the sequel for "My Pet Goat"

The next president will owe no debt of gratitude. I envy no one who must follow Bush. All the damage that has been done will likely take more than one presidential term to clean up. The sad thing is, it is you and I , and future generations that also be picking up the pieces that Bush leaves behind.

Only history can determine if a president was good or bad for the country. Many presidents that today are considered great were hated at the time of their presidency. The chief among them was Abraham Lincoln.

It depends upon what one views as being important.
If the answer is the here and now, Bush has managed to keep us safe here at home so, I would say he has set that bar very high.
If the answers is our future, Bush has accomplished a lot in ensuring our nation's security and future sovereignty, which definitely puts the bar way up there.
Hey, I guess no matter how you look at it, the answer to your question is NO !!!!

I cleaned out my cat box this morning.
I scooped out better things from the sand than George W. Bush has given this nation as president.

i think he is hated so much by so many because he set the bar too high. he's religious and honest and a gentleman. he actually handles himself very well with all the hate-mongers ranting and raving in the press and on tv.
