they don't know what else to do - this is all they have had their minds on and trying to put their minds onto something constructive is, well, a little too over the top for them.

This approach has been the Democratic play book since Bill Clinton used it to win the presidency. There certainly is a Democratic party agenda. However, they dare not reveal what it is. The reason is because they are basically a coalition of the misguided. They lack any core values and dare not state what their beliefs really are because to do so would mean alienating many of their own members.

How many Democrats that post here consider themselves to be liberals? Yet, name me one Democratic Candidate that is calling themselves a liberal. There is none. The Democrats run from that title and hide behind the title of "progressive".

Why do you suppose that is? I mean if most of America is liberal, you would think they would be fighting to prove which is the most liberal.

Hillary is basically running unopposed. None of the Democratic candidates dare attack her. The rest of the field is basically running for a position in her administration. Whoever the Republican candidate is will have his hands full responding to one scurrilous attract after another just as they have started doing to conservative pundits.

As long as there is a Clinton in the Democratic Party, there will be no debate regarding ideology or ideas. There will be only personal attacks to discredit those who oppose Hillary.
You have obviously noticed that the Democrats offer nothing of substance. They only attack and ridicule the president over and over again.

I heard many exchanges where conservatives asked Democrats what they would have done differently after 9/11. All the democrats would say is I would not have done this or I would not have done that. No matter how you try to pin them down they would refuse to say what they would have done only what they would not have done. This is how the game will be played for this election. Demonize George W. Bush and then run as not George W. Bush. There will be no mention of any policy regarding terrorism other than spending more money for cops and firemen both members of labor unions.

the biggest reason is they could not on the time. in the early 2000's they only had a 2 seat majority till Jim Jeffords switched events and made the Senate 50-50. even however they nonetheless would desire to wreck any ties with a vice chairman vote, the Dems have been waiting to get the feckless Reps to "share" management in committees. in the process the quick while they did have a majority, the Dems filibustered to stay away from any law from getting by way of. As for spending money... Reps do have faith in a powerful militia. however the thought they prefer wars is misguided.. the two events initiate wars.. (Viet Nam--Kennedy, Kosovo-Clinton, Libya-Obama, etc. Iraq-Bush I and II)..With Iraq, the two situations there grew to become into bipartisan help in Congress. Tax cuts are actually not "spending". this is permitting people to maintain greater of the money they EARNED. Reps dont hate Social protection or Medicare, yet they do understand that the way the classes are presently set up that they are unsustainable and would desire to get replaced.

Force of habit. They have a guaranteed reaction if they go after Bush for so much as putting a toilet paper roll in the wrong way. Each time they bring him up the thronging sycophants in their party (primarily the far left radicals) let out an immediate orgasmic roar of deranged outrage that keeps them begging for more.

Plus they are not sure who will be the candidate next year so they are not focusing too much slandering the Republican candidates till they know for sure.

Honestly I would love 4 more years of watching the insane far left go in to convulsions every time they think Bush did something wrong but can neither prove it or remove him from office. Normally I don't go in for watching train wrecks but when it happens to the far left and they start all the screaming, crying, pleading and insane idiotic conspiracy theories I can't help but smile.

Attacks on Bush are also attacks on the Republicans who deserve the label of shame. A party of fiscal responsibility letting their chosen leader (Bush) put this country in debt for generations to come. The party that wants smaller government running on and supporting a policy of invasion of women's rights, hate towards gays and public funding of religious corporations.
Any Republican running for office in 2008 will have the actions of Bush to run against unless they have distanced themselves from him in their voting record.

I'd reply that it's because of the terrible things he's done and is still doing in the Middle East, in South America and elsewhere, but unfortunately that's not true. The Democrats would be little better than Bush.

They are? Where? where are they attacking Bush? Got proof? They're not attacking Bush. They may be attacking his policies because they are absolute failures and they are absolutely insane policies. If the Dems are attacking don't you think that would be appropriate since all the candidates except Ron Paul are sucking up to Bush and adopting all his policies as their own? Sheesh, Bush's policies should be attacked by everyone because they are absolute failures. The real question is why is the GOP appearing so weak on morals, policies and governance these days and still so arrogant and self righteous about their failed policies? If the Dems had any real balls they would be much more aggressive about it. They need to be aggressive about it. The people need to know they are voting for someone with different views. The majority of the American people know that Bush is a failure and they want change. If the Dems were smart they would make sure they had a different policy and be very aggressive in getting that message out.

They're setting up the barrage they will get from Reps for the attacks on their next president. The only difference IS, is that the Republicans will be telling the truth!

They don't want to talk about their socialist agenda and besides, the President is not running, for the most part he doesn't even strike back.
What are they going to do, attack Fred Thompson or John McCain?

as much as i dislike president Bush, the democrats are trying to keep some hotly contested issues from being aimed at them, they want to keep the heat on him and away from them...mostly the problem with illegal immigrants , rising gas prices and health care to name a few!!! we may have a 2 party system, but they always do the same when they get into the presidential seat...LOOK OUT FOR THEMSELVES !!!

Because right now, it's Bush and Limbaugh that are the only people they really can attack. Once a GOP nominee wins the primaries, they'll shift focus.
