a rag soaked with gasoline!
it`s what the detailers use, and I have used it too!!
gas will not hurt the paint, sometimes it spills when you fill it up, doesn`t hurt it then either!

If it truly is a smudge and not scratched deeply into the paint, get a terry cloth towel--wet it and use a household cleanser--like AJAX---just lightly make small circles and the smudge will eventually rub off--just make sure it is wet and that you gently rub the cleanser powder in circles on the smudge--not all over the place like a lunatic. When you get the black off--dry it and use some wax. Just take your time and good luck

I used rubbing alcohol on mine and it worked good, had to rub hard but it worked and it didn't take off the paint.
Good luck with this.

try one of those magic erasers from Mr. Clean. If that doesn't work try scratching it with your finger nail. or maybe finger nail polish remover.
