T = amount of money Theo has
D = amount of money Daisy has
R = amount of money Randy has

Theo had 5 dollars more than Daisy
T = D + 5

Daisy had 11 dollors more than Randy
D = R + 11 <==> R = D - 11

together, they had 45 dolars
T + D + R = 45
D + 5 + D + D - 11 = 45
3D = 51
D = $17

R = D - 11
R = 17 - 11
R = $6

T = D + 5
T = 17 + 5
T = $22
