Peace will never exist in the Middle East because they follow a religion that teaches hatred and death to anyone who does not agree with its teachings. No politician will be able to do this. We will only be able to defeat terrorism when we stop supporting terrorist nations (which includes almost every nation in the Middle East, even those we call "friends".)

Ms. Clinton not only lacks any vision for peace, but she also has no ability to bring American together. She is a know commodity and was the most divisive First Lady in history. She would be the most divise president in history.

Yes. America can defeat the terrorists. It will take totally different tactics than what we are doing now.

I'm not sure if Hillary Clinton is the best leader for the job. She is certainly better than the one we have now. Bill Clinton certainly did better. He proposed anti terrorism legislation which was shot down by the Republican Congress. He had a terrorist attack during his first month of office and never thought of blaming HW Bush. Within a year, law enforcement officials hunted down four of the "blind cleric" Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman's disciples, then prosecuted and convicted them for the bombing and sentenced them to 240 years in prison in March 1994. Officials captured the prime suspect Ramzi Ahmed Yousef in 1995. A court convicted him in November 1997 and sentenced him to 240 years in prison as well. There were no further Muslim terrorist attacks on US soil during the Clinton administration.

When W Bush took office he ignored the warnings of the Clinton administration and his own intelligence. During his ninth month we were attacked and his apologists blamed Clinton. W. Bush's administration reacted with the Patriot Act which was unconstitutional and severely limited our freedoms. He was partially sucessful in Afganistan, though he never caught Osama binLaden. The Iraq War was a complete mistake and because of it, we have lost ground in the war on terror. There have been more Americans killed by terrorists in Iraq than by any overseas attacks during the Clinton administration. The Iraq War only made more enemies for us. He has also been holding prisoners with no trials or convicictions.

We need a leader that will use diplomacy with the legitimate powers in the Middle East. We also need to handle terrorism with swift justice. We need to win the hearts and minds of the world, not alienate them with more misguided wars.

As soon as America lets go of the absurd position it has held for the past decades is the time the world starts becoming a better place. You have to realise that to many Bush is a freedom fighter, but also to others, Bin Laden is a freedom fighter. Both parties are equally correct and justified. Remember, every terrorist has a justification for their actions.

America dropped the nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki - some say these were the biggest crimes ever committed (Noam Chomsky to name one). The trouble is, wars are not fought against the corrupt Governments who incite the trouble, they are fought against the civilians who simply wish to go about with their daily lives.

If you can see that the killing of an innocent Arabian child is in every way equal to the killing of an American child, then we're on the right path to overturn our blinkered views. Without it wars will continue for thousands of years.

Just think, on the grand scale of things - if you could look down on earth from the moon and see the people fighting amongst one another. Whether it's Iraqis bombing Americans, or Americans bombing Iraqis. It is undeniably pathetic.

Many people say Governments rule the world. I disagree. I think fear rules the world which is brought about by Governments. As soon as love is able to flourish, the world will begin to be ameliorated.

The ONLY way to defeat terrorism is to solve the problems that cause terrorism to be adopted by people as a weapon. You cannot defeat "terrorism" (which is a concept) with guns and bombs. It is like shooting at shadows! All you do is create more hatred and push people into taking up terrorism as a weapon and so the cycle continues.

The solution to world terrorism HAS to be political and to insist that a "war against terrorism" in the traditional sense, is winnable is like spitting into the wind! CRAZY!

The real terrorists are the groups, Taliban and Al Quaida, they are growing, and are the ones who are sweeping the nation with the suicide bombers and plotting to one day take over the world, America is their main target right now, they've bombed railways in both London and Madrid...it is no longer Osama Bin Laden we are dealing with, it is a swarm of young radicals who have become followers of Osama and their "Alla"...it is now a war against religions. These terrorists are killing muslims...because they won't convert into Islam. It is not a safe world anymore...these terrorists are making it quite sure of that. Our safe haven no longer exists. Face the reality. Read the bible....believe in God. Believe in the word of the Lord, that's where you will find a safe haven.

Hillary Clinton, will you have what it takes to take on these radical islamists???? That's a question only YOU can answer. Personally, my opinion, is NO!!!

Muslim terrorism is not something that can be defeated militarily. Terrorism is merely a symptom of a backwards Islamic culture. Fighting creates more terrorism and makes them happy to die for Allah.

Our leadership knows this. They use the term "war on terror" in order to soften the public into acceptance of aggresive action. You can't bring democracy to these people. You certainly can't bring it to them at the end of a gun.

Absolutely. Despite the apparent lack of world support, a policy of slaughtering innocent victims to further ones agenda simply can't succeed - not now, not ever.
I can't speak for Mrs. Clinton because she seems to skirt the tough questions and it's hard to know just where she actually stands on some very important concerns presently facing this nation. Perhaps as the campaign wears on, she'll be a little more forth coming with her answers.

If US citizens took the time to read William Blum's book, Rogue State, they might realise that terrorism often starts at home. I have no hesitation in condemning the likes of Bin Laden. However, he and his ilk were spawned, in somes actively encouraged, by US foreign policy over many years. It's time to stop regarding Muslims as inferior beings and to stop bombing their countries. Go on, try it.

First we have to get the republicans to stop dramatizing them as more than they really are. It is impossible to bring peace to this situation as long as there are people claiming that terrorists hate US freedom and making it difficult for the US citizen to move past the horror. They make every mole hill on the topic of terrorism into a mountain.
