Hi,well I'm not a Tea person,so I couldn't tell you about that. You could make pot pouri out of them, or cut and dry them to add to dry flower arrangements, Christmas wreaths ,of throw them at your spouse. I don't really do any of those ,I cut them off to promote more rose blooms. Those are the seeds of the rose bush, and once they have formed on a stem, a new bud might not grow. Normally that is referred to as ,"Going to Seed". I cut them off above a five -leafed leaf, at a 45 degree angle, facing where you want the new sprout to grow. That would be facing outwards of the bush. For me, it's about time to trim the bushes down for the winter, but that's another story on winter trimming rose bushes. Byee

*** Hello. I'm a Certified Master Gardener. ***
The hips contain tiny seeds. They can be dried for a week and planted.
Or you can clean them well, and steep them in hot water to make a nice tea with honey.

Rose hips are vitamin C and D concentrate. You can make jelly, tea, add to salad, depends on what you want to do with them. They can be used fresh, dried for use later...
What do you want to do with them?
