Itis dependent on the speed of you machine, the size of your hard drive and what kind of shape you keep your hard drive in.
Periodically deleting cookies, temporary internet files, etc. will allow it to run quicker.

It depends on a number of things. How many files, processor speed, how much memory you have, how much other crap is running at the time, etc...
