I'd like to read an unabridged version of 1001 Arabian Nights, but I have no clue which one is the best. Does anyone here have any ideas about which version I should buy?

Thanks! :-)

Wow, unabridged and uncensored - that's a pretty tall order, especially the "unabridged" part. Here is a link to the finest COMPLETE set of "1001 Arabian Nights" that I have ever seen:

This is an extremely high quality, very lavishly illustrated edition of the original classic set of books by Richard Burton. Alas, the complete set costs over $1,000.00 so I can only recommend this to someone who is VERY seriously interested.

Good luck :)

Well, you might want to try Richard Francis Burton's. However, there are parts that would not pass the test of some Church censors whether they are real or not.

FYI--I have an e-text, if you really want to read it.
