i got a idle problem with my car it idles up and down between 200-300 rmp from 1200rmp and is smoking blue smoke ?? what could it be

i got a idle problem with my car it idles up and down between 200-300 rmp from 1200rmp and is smoking blue smoke ??but when i put it into drive the idle is at about 1200rmp and remains at 1200rmp what could it be

Blue smoke is oil burning. Hard to say if that is causing the idle problem. Need to find where the oil is getting into the combustion chamber. Should show up on spark plug if you pull them and look . Run a compression check for clues.

check the rings, thats more than likely the point at which you are allowing oil to enter your chambers, but thats gonna require alot of work, and youre going to have to pull off the head, so make sure you get a new gasket so reseal it when youre done. OR you could just get a 4g63 from ebay, and swap that in, which would be much more entertaining, and just about as difficult. make sure you get a 6bolt, not a 7...
