I had a c-section birth and weighted the full 6 weeks of recovery to have sex. I know it is difficult to wait--but you have to remember that if you choose to have sex before your body is fully recovered--you could do permanent damage down there. And that's not a part you want to mess up for life!! Remember that waiting a few weeks will not kill you--but you will always regret if you do it too soon and hurt yourself.

P.S. I've had two c-sections--looking at having my third in less than a month. Just so you know, if you've never had a natural birth--sex will feel just the same or better. If you don't squeeze that watermelon out--nothing has changed down there lol.

I had a c-section, we had sex around six weeks after birth which was about the same time that the bleeding stopped totally. Even though I had a c-section sex was quite painful and not quite up to scratch for at least six months. (Sorry...) Don't quite know why it was painful, but having a baby is such an emotioal rollercoaster and also when you breastfeed (as I did for 18 months) you can suffer from some dryness, so it does take time.

I gave birth natural. I started having sex again at about 4 weeks but I didn't have to get any stitches, just minor tearing. It was a little uncomfortable at first.. at about 6 weeks it started being more comfortable, about 2 months I don't feel like I am sore anymore. I used a lot of lube at first, and still some now due to dryness and so as not to hurt.

I had 2 vaginal births, no tearing either time.
I had sex 2 weeks after my first baby, my bleeding had stopped and everything was fine and it felt great.
With my second baby I had sex 3 weeks after giving birth, but it made me bleed again(only very lightly) so we waited for that to finish and tried again. But everytime we had sex I'd start bleeding again. So we ended up waiting till week 5.And everything was back to normal.

Mind you I didnt know that you are meant to wait 6 weeks before having sex.

Vaginal birth, not natural. Natural is without pain killers. Thats what I had, vaginal.

I bled 6 weeks, almost to the day, and didnt have sex i think until about 8-10 weeks. The first time was FREAKING AWESOME, i had THE best orgasm of my life. But i was still sore inside for a few months after giving birth, so we werent THAT active.

Doctors advise you don't have sex for at least 6 weeks after the birth, however you deliver the baby, to allow your womb to recover, or air could become trapped there, which can be fatal.
