Mizzou beat Nebraska a lot worse than USC did. Mizzou also beat Illinois, who beat #5 Wisconsin. Mizzou should be a top five team before Oklahoma beats them next week. USC isn't undefeated, and they lost to one of the very worst teams in college football.

Mizzou also has one of the best QB's in the country with Chase Daniel.

The Only Belden- Must be living in some sort of parallel universe to think that USC has had a tougher schedule than Mizzou!

I was looking forward to Missouri being in top 10. Yes, they did dominate Nebraska a little better than USC did. And too the low qaulity of non-conference opponents. I point out, Mizzou beat Illinois on a neutral field. Same Illinois that just knocked off Wisconsin. They beat a Ole Miss team at Oxford, MS. by a good bit. Same Ole Miss team that gave Florida all they could handle at Oxford. That same Florida team sniffed upset in Death Valley vs. LSU. So too the fool who said "who is mizzou" i say...Mizzou is the 5-0 team from the Big 12 ...and soon to be top 10 team. If they walk in too Norman, Oklahoma and hand the Sooners a nice loss.

Mizzou and the Illini both should be ranked a lot higher. Top 5 might be pushing it. There are still a lot of undefeated teams. Mizzou is with the second teir undefeated teams. Cincy BC and so on. LSU Cal and OSU are clearly 123. I would have USF at 4, and then the t2 teams. I guess I wouldn't have a problem with Mizzou at 5 at this point.

Well, you've got to remember that the voters are in love with USC. That's the plain and simple truth, they've been winning games but not by the numbers they put up over the last few years. You can tell that even the mighty USC has some position issues and will probably lose at least one more game. Missouri is a good team, but would lose to USC, LSU, Cal, Oregon, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and a few other top 25 teams. I give them all the credit for taking out Nebraska and Illinois but truthfully Nebraska and Wisconsin we're ready for the picking...one could tell by watching their games that it was just a matter of time.

Prestige. USC has played a pretty weak scedule also. Outside of playing Nebraska they have played Idaho and other scrubs so they should probably be ranked about 15. Missouri should probably be around 10 or 9. What also baffles me is BC being ranked 4. The only legit team they beat was Wake Forest who are a decent side but nothing spectacular.

as a sooner i am biased
but dude
mizzou in the top 5?????
margin of victory doesnt play as big of a role in BCS now
and beating a team who beats a team helps a little
mizzou wont even get 2nd in the Big 12 north
r u serious?
sorry if im a little harsh but think about what u just said (or typed)
and it took two huge fourth down conversions for stanford to win
not exactly what id expect from "one of the very worst teams in college football"

Because USC has played a tougher schedule. USC beat Nebraska in Lincoln, not at home. Missouri's other wins are over Western Michigan, Illinois State, and Mississippi, not exactly an impressive lot. Big win for them last night, but no one in their right mind can say that even with last night's loss, USC is worse than Missouri.

massive 12 gets a great form of props because of the fact there are random years the place all of them look to do particularly nicely. this is like a vicious cycle. a pair communities bypass undefeated, finally end up suitable 25. Then the Big12 communities initiate beating up on one yet another, and help one yet another bypass further up in the ranks. fairly quickly, they finally end up with a "acceptance" for being a solid soccer application, and get ranked the subsequent 365 days, the place you proceed the cycle. comparable component happens in each and every convention. a pair SEC communities initiate beating one yet another, and fairly quickly, you will finally end up with 3 or 4 SEC communities in the suitable 10. comparable with the huge 10(11), ACC, etc.

Simple, it's because SC started off at a higher ranking.
I know how crappy that is, but that's how the BCS works.
