Okay. Here is y exact situation:

I have:
- One Ethernet Cord.
- One Computer with Windows 98 which has NO Internet.
- A Computer with Windows XP, which has Internet, (this is the computer I'm currently on).

My Question: Using what I have, (and what I have is listed above); is there any way at all that I can simply use the ethernet cord to connect my Computer with Windows XP to my computer with Windows 98 so that I could get internet on the Windows 98? (I have a router for my XP, but I only have one wireless internet card connecting the computer with Windows XP to the internet, and besides... the software to setup the wireless internet card to the router isn't compatible with windows 98). So, please.... anybody; I'm SO DESPERATE for answers, please, and thank you SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 =D =D =D Also; I'd love it if you'd contact ,e wit hYahoo Messanger, please. =D (I find it quicker). Thanks again! -=D =D =D =D =D

Does your Win98 computer have a LAN card?

If so, plug it directly into the router and run the internet from there, leave your XP machine running wireless.

If not.....

See if the wireless card is compatible with Win98. Put the wireless card in the Win98 computer, and hardwire your XP machine to the router.

Is this cord a crossed-over one, or a normal one? If its corssed-over then you can establish between the 2 pcs and the one without internet can access internet through the gateway on the other pc. If you have a normal cord....go get yourself a crossed-over one :)

It would have been a big help to know what wifi card you were talking about.
Here is one with Win98 drivers.
