It is not a rare coin but a historic one. Going through World Coin News I found one, not the same date but both have the same book value, for $1,400.00 from Steinberg's Inc a well known dealer in world gold coins. It is hard to believe you have that coin and don't know it's value???? There are a lot of counterfeits around so it would have to be authenticated before anyone would buy it.

What a nice Heritage / the value of the coin
to the Amount it is worth has no value
I would keep it
There are Jeweler's whom can mount it on a ring
or a frame that you can wear on a chain,,
give it to your daughter when she graduates
her nursing profession
the amount you will get for a heirloom is not worth that history it is worth but if you pass it on as a gift to someone
whom understands the meaning of that gift
it is an omen that a mothers love is worth more then all the gold in the World // a gift of love to your new mercy angel
you send her off to a wonder full life with great Esteem
coming from a good Mom
Always remember never disrespect your elders or call them names as maybe they become egocentric in their life's
but this is a title too
they believe stronger in the love of life then some out their
whom hold no values in life or history
so hang your flag tomorrow
respect your country and those whom respect the ground
they live upon the America's and all that respect
the Union's Equally for what this Country represents
what a great day it has been we Talked about
aristocracies and space to breath on earth in its freedom
even talked about Isadora or was it Isadora as if and is
is The [ i ] within in all of US THAT YOU FORGET//
COME THAT DAY YOU LEARN TO NOT TALK UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT
YEP I AM BACK UP IN THE FOG IT IS NOW COLD IN NEW YORK wonder how it was when Columbus ships
Came on Shore they must have slept on deer skins
THE REAL BUCKS ONLY IN NEW YORK CITY
October festivals not fake Assad clowns and witches and
goblins acting up HALLOWEEN
still can not figure that out its like uncle SAM all over
Knocking on your Door
with that Speal [ I WANT you,,!!!
get the HEEEEELLLL Out of Here !!!
leave me in PEACE.

Here are two websites that are for coin pricing. You can always take it to an appraiser and find out how much it is worth. It's a lovely coin!!!!!!!
