As displayed to me by the clueless liberals in this answer (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AhFqwY7CGAnMFAqg26tBeYXsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071007141109AA0tXlq)
it astounds me how people have fallen for the lies that our soldiers torture.

If I could look at everyone of you in the face who claims the U.S. tortures I'd say I'd say shame on you. You're a disloyal person to our troops, and you're a mouthpiece for the Islamofascists.

Have you morons all forgotten that the Islamofascists:

Have their own Koran
Have arrows facing Mecca
Have their own special food preferences according to their so called peaceful religion.
Have their own prayer times where U.S. troops aren't allowed to interupt.

Isn't that good enough? If I were in charge, I wouldn't even allow these scum who want to cut our throats, convert us to Islam, and blow up our cities these privileges.

Shame on all of the people who tell lies about the U.S. and shame on those who continue to gossip about it.

The United States if the most compassionate nation in the world that I know of. If some nut case wants to call us a nation that tortures, then so be it. I don't care.
I love God, and I love this country.
America, love it or leave it. Believe it.

After the attacks of 9/11, Mr. Bush authorized the creation of extralegal detention camps where Central Intelligence Agency operatives were told to extract information from prisoners who were captured and held in secret. Some of their methods — simulated drownings, extreme ranges of heat and cold, prolonged stress positions and isolation — had been classified as torture for decades by civilized nations. The administration clearly knew this; the C.I.A. modeled its techniques on the dungeons of Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the Soviet Union.

The White House could never acknowledge that. So its lawyers concocted documents that redefined “torture” to neatly exclude the things American jailers were doing and hid the papers from Congress and the American people. Under Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, Mr. Bush’s loyal enabler, the Justice Department even declared that those acts did not violate the lower standard of “cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment.”

So it would appear that the Bush administration is the one telling lies about America, And their loyal, frightened toadies, too.

Is" God Bless America" a demand, or a request?

This patriot; should spend some time reading The Bible! He might just learn; "Bushe's War", is just another political ploy, based on lies.

ISAIAH 23:11. He stretched out his hand over the sea, he shook the kingdoms; the “Lord” hath given a commandment; against the MERCHANT CITY, to destroy the strong holds thereof.

So when Ossama Bin Laden claimed, "Alla told him to attack it"; He wasn't lying.

Well, "questioning" a person "aggressively" until they die, is kind of tough to call a tea party. "Water boarding" a prisoner until they "freely" decide they just can't wait to confess, is also rather difficult to call fun. I served during the Vietnam War, and as a US serviceman, I considered what was done to our guys in N. Vietnamese camps torture. Are acts done by us different than acts done to us? Isn't what our government doing now just changing OUR definition of torture, so that if it doesn't feel like "organ failure", it's not torture, it's just persuasion?

You're quite a lost and severely naive individual.

I don't know what color the sky is in your fantasy world, maybe a shade of pink along with the elephants that you see skipping around the neighborhood, but you are truly, unequivocably either stoned or just lost in deep space.

Have you ever served in the military, sir? I attended the United States Naval Academy and served my country in the US Navy. My roomate at Annapolis became a Navy SEAL and served in Afganistan. I can't tell you the stories he has told me because you don't have clearance, but rest assured that torture is an understatement of what we do to suspected terrorists. I'm not saying I disagree with what goes on, I'd do the same thing if I found one of them has harmed my wife or family, probably worse - but you are saying that we don't practice torture...it's like telling the world that you believe the Pope is Jewish. Hogwash psychobabble is what you're spitting out. Wake up and grow up, sir.

It must be an awful thing for a Christan such as you claim to be to sit at your computer and spew out such hatred towards entire groups of people. Would Jesus do this? Shame on you.

I say torture the bastards if and when necessary in extreme scenarios! These are the cowards that strap bombs to children and/or themselves to kill innocent people, including children, all to influence and control peoples behavior. Not to mention them beheading, dismembering and torturing hostages and people they see as traitors! How anyone can have compassion for these pieces of sh*t is beyond me. Sure, they may be human in physical form, but they have no humanity left inside of them, therefore they do not deserve humane conditions or treatment! Especially if we are faced with a possible nuclear bombing, and one of the terrorist detainees knows the location of the bomb, I say torture away!

Yeah, the rightwingers argument is:

1) We DO NOT TORTURE
and
2) SO WHAT IF WE TORTURE, SHUT UP!

Since torture produces INCORRECT INFORMATION, undermines our moral authority, and leaves our soldiers vulnerable to torture, it's an all around BAD idea.

AND YES, it is well-documented that BUSH/CHENEY IS TORTURING PEOPLE and true Americans who oppose must deal with the consequences.
