They never grow up

2007-10-07 11:11:10 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 4 7

They only turn into Republicans if they become self cented silfish with no sense of history or that fact that the Public Systems they enjoy like the road ways, the water systems, bridges and so many other things were paid for by the Public not Businesses.
The Public working togeather for the common good paying taxes equal in comparison to what they make so they are all helping each other over their whole life time. We had a huge hidden wealth that could be tapped at anytime incase of emergency and we all knew it but left it alone.
Then came Reagan who rooted out all the wealth and transfered it to the Private Sector now they are putting the people at odds with each other so the government can keep the Public from LOOKING AT HOW WASHINGTON DOES BUSINESS.

The problem is, most in the Democratic Party have NO idea what the old time REAL Democratic Party was like. Strong on defense, Strong on Religion, Strong on helping the worker by being PRO business. Strong Morales. NOTHING like the so called Democratic Party of today.

The Rich libs, once they got theirs, THEN because they want to keep others victims, or are motivated by guilt because THEY made money...but in most cases mommy and daddy handed it down. want to tell everyone else how to live.

I would LOVE it if every week, we had to sit down and write a check to the Feds, state, and local governments to pay their taxes. THEN you would see a huge change in attitude!

I'm 60 years old and have been a democrat all my adult life. I have never lived in my parents basement. You wouldn't be able to tell my political party from the way I've lived my life and that is the case for the vast majority of democrats and republicans.

I'm "grown up," haven't lived in my parent's home for over 38 years, and haven't voted Republican too many times that I can recall.

Oh, and my dad, in his late 70s has no use for Dubya, either.

Sure.... as soon as the Republican Party gets back to its roots of fiscal conservatism and small government. To do so, they would need to wrestle their party platform away from the right-wing religious coalitions that hijacked the party about thirty years ago... the same time I moved out of my parents house and supported myself. Get back to me on that, OK?

No. The liberals represent people of all walks of life too. Therefore, this assertion will not hold up. It is the facts of life. Some conservatives and liberals do change their viewpoints.

Only if they don't get a job teaching, or working for the State.

This is a lazy Sunday afternoon. Most people are liberals today. Come Monday morning when the phones start ringing they turn conservative. Thank God elections are held on Tuesdays.

We could ask Oprah, Bill Gates, Susan Sarandon, Sean Penn, and many others who are extremely wealthy and have not started voting Republican.

But let's just hope that young liberals stick with their liberal beliefs and ideals and don't get bitter, greedy, gun-crazy and hate-filled. Then they would have to vote Republican.

LOL that's a good one:

"A liberal is a person whose interests aren't at stake at the moment."
Willis Player

"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened."
