NO! They beat a ranked team and are 5-1 or 4-1(i forgot). Michigan didn't beat anyone yet and were 0-1

This is funny, I was listening to commentators yesterday and many were saying how the USC loss (they were favored by 40, with a 35 game home winning streak) was worse then the Michigan loss. Yet Michigan fell out of the rankings immediately and USC is still in the top 10. Interesting?

No, it was one huge upset. But that is rarely enough to knock a top team entirely out of the rankings. USC had the fortune of being 4-0 and beating a ranked team on the road before losing. Michigan, on the other hand, lost in the season opener, and the #5 pre-season ranking meant little.

But if USC loses to another bad team then of course, they are out.

Not out of the polls, but out of the top 10 for sure. The voters were way too friendly to them with a loss to such a bad team. I think they want to give them a chance to creep back into the NC game if there aren't 2 undefeated teams, but they most certainly won't deserve it.

I must have missed where USC lost to a I-AA team (actually, they've never played one) and got humiliated by Oregon.

stanford is a conference game. keep that in mind. also, a loss to Stanford is far better than a loss to I-AA App State.
