They don't understand the Gertrude Stein poem and think a different label will make their ideas acceptable. And, with so many heads full of mush being graduated by the government schools, they may be right.

Because those dont mean the same thing?
If someone is standing all the way to one side then they might ask something like that because everyone "over on the side of the scale" are the same. But its a waste to try and discuss it that way because if "they" dont agree with the mass labeling then the discussion wont go any further.

Its common with many debate topics. I see the same thing occur in religious threads, or life styles, or even about computer operating systems.

I'm not. Call me anything you want: terrorist, traitor, liberal, secular progressive, etc....

It makes absolutely no difference to me.

When a far right reactionary says any of those about me, it makes me proud.

The rightwing smear machine has succeeded in their BIG LIE campaign to make the word "liberal" a dirty word.

It's really too bad for America.

Liberals have ALWAYS fought for:

CLEAN AIR
CLEAN WATER
CIVIL RIGHTS
VOTING RIGHTS
EQUAL RIGHTS
ENDANGERED SPECIES
SOCIAL SECURITY
MEDICARE
MEDICAID

These are all ACTUAL NAMES OF LAWS that LIBERALS HAVE FOUGHT FOR and CONSERVATIVES, REPUBLICANS AND RIGHTWINGERS HAVE FOUGHT TO DESTROY.

If you are FOR any of the above, then you share the views of LIBERALS.
