Can someone please tell me what the oxidations numbers are for the following?

Cl in CCl4 H in NH3
P in P2O5 Na in Na3PO4


for Cl I got ....4
for P I got ..... 5
for H I got.... 1
for Na I'm getting 3.667 but it's not possible for decimal so would it be +1 ??

Please help? I have 30 min for this question... it's now 5:30 pm here so please help.

Just for no confusion:

it's...

Cl in CCl4
H in NH3
P in P2O5
Na in Na3PO4

You are on the right track.

You have 4 chlorines, so th echarege on each one is -1
The charge on each H is +1
You are right about the P
The Na is +1

oxidation of Cl = -1
H = +1
P = +5
Na = +1
