When puberty starts, it's normal for all girls to have a white and/or clear discharge. It means your hormones are working as the vagina is self-cleaning.

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:

Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

Clear, gooey discharge is normal. It's common for girls to start getting discharge well before they start menstruating. Sometimes they can get a lot as their hormones start kicking in.

A yeast infection has a thick discharge, almost like cottage cheese.

she is already diagnosing herself ? lol

usually clear is okay and is not the marker of any infection going on. if the discharge is bothersome to her then perhaps you should schedule an appointment to have it evalualted.

this might be a good time for your daughter to make a list of questions that she may have about her growing/ developing body and discuss with the physician. it's nice when they have established a relationship with a DR before they enter the teen years when the harder questions come up .

Sometimes when a girl is to start her period for the first time(as in weeks-months) she will start producing clear gooey stuff. I think it's just her ovaries and reproductive system getting ready.

i dont think its a yeast infection unless it looked like cottage cheese and smelled bad, and her vagina is swelling and red. its probably just discharge. or she is ovulating...? when did you get your period? if you got it when you were 12 or so, then she might be starting soon. good luck!!

I don't think it yeast infection. It's discharge when you have a cottage cheese and smelled bad, and her vagina swelling and red. It's normal.

she is either very sensitive down there or she is going to get her period soon

just before girls get their periods, a clear discharge releases. if she is not in any discomfort, this is most likely the cause

otherwise, she may have an infection and be very sensitive to things like bubble baths or staying in wet/sweaty clothes.
