Three picks? Very un-Chad-like. And two of which went to a rookie corner. Is it weak-arm syndrome or is the whole team to blame for a 1-4 start?

Ultimately the blame or credit for a team's success comes down to the starting quarterback. Chad Pennington certainly deserves some blame but I would say this is a team-wide problem. The big problem is that the Jets can't get their running game going. I know he has been hurt, but Thomas Jones has been a bust so far- not much of an improvement over the Cedric Houston-Leon Washington combo of last year. It is much easier to defend against an offense when you know they have to pass all the time.

Plus the defense can't stop anyone. Tom Brady shredded them. This week Brandon Jacobs put up 100 yards on them.

I am a 30 year Jet fan and in retrospect I think I, along with other Jet fans, had overly inflated expectations for this year. Truth be told this is basically the same team as last year and last year's team wasn't that good- they just had a soft schedule and played a lot of teams down the stretch that had just given up on their seasons.

It will be interesting to see if "Mangenius" can make some adjustments down the stretch.

Mangini can no longer be called manginius, it is now manfinki :)

i dont know what is with the jets, they are always like this, always a B tier team, always struggling, other than in 2002, but even then they only went 9-7 with a last place schedule...

there is something wrong with that franchise, they need an identity, their own stadium, a new name, new uniforms, and a legit head coach... then hope clemens pans out or get lucky in the draft and get a QB that is capable of getting them to a SB... maybe then they will have the self esteem u need in the NFL to play well week in week out...

Its half chad and half mangini. Chad doesnt need to be starting in the first place, and its half mangini for not starting Clemens. DBrick had a fine rookie season thanks to Kendall the LG but now he is gone and DBrick has no leadership to look up to. Hes on his own. Chad has a puny arm though, he needs to be benched, hes been beaten up too much.
