The American revolution formed a new stile of government that was really never tried before. At the time of the revolution we had not yet decided on what type of government would be in place. It was a developed government that was chosen by the majority of Representatives. It was decided that their would be no king but a president and Representative from each colony. The American did not over throw a government they established a new government controlled by the people, and set rules on how long each official could stay in power. It then formed a Constitution that elected people had to follow.
