No. The Sun is approximately 400 times bigger than the Moon.
But since the Moon is approximately 400 times closer to the Earth than the Sun, it completely covers our view of the Sun during a Solar eclipse.

Obviously not, however because of their relative sizes they appear to be. Note that during a solar eclipse, the moon totally blocks out the sun. If they were side by side, the moon would be no more than a speck. To visualize the difference imagine an BB on top of a basketball. That is a good way to see the real difference. The moon also travels away from the earth about three-eighths of an inch a year. So, in a few thousand years, solar eclipses will hardly be noticed other than a dot passing in front of the sun....Hope this helps....Zgrinch.......

Nope. They're about the same apparent size from Earth, but that's because the moon is much closer. The sun is much bigger than Earth, the moon is smaller.

No....The radius of the moon is about 1740 km
The Sun happens to be 400 times the Moon's diameter....
they appear to be the same size (if you look at them from earth) because the sun is much farther from earth than the moon....

No, not even close. It would take over a million Earth moons to fit inside the sun with plenty of room left over
