I felt weird and relaxed all at the same time putting Clemens on the mound - I didn't expect a Don Larsens perfect game or a nine inning one hit ball shout out but I expected him to be dominate. This season he has had some very dominate starts and some very terrible.
I also thought risk. What if Clemens gives up a handfull of runs just like fellow oldie 300 game winner Tom Glavine did to the Mets? His outing was shaky and bad. I hope he doesnt do this to us if we make it to the ALCS. But then again..He was injured.
I also thought that a veteran in the playoffs would know what he was doing and have a good overall start.
Not so fast - he leaves the game in the 3rd or 4th and the Yankees bring in Phillip Hughes who was a angel to them - a 21 year old angel that is!
8-4 the final, and the first time I have felt good in the Yankees playoffs in 3 years!

Yes,
old, washed up, and WAY>WAY overpaid Roger
he will get knocked out of the game in the 4th or 5th inning
( and too the Yankee winers about the gnats, Cleveland players were on the field also, it didn't effect there pitchers or hitters)
tonite the Indians will make it 4 for 4 in first round sweeps, and all Yankee players and fans and their owner will make excuses, just like they always do !
*****oops i was wrong, only made through 2 1/3 innings, my bad********

You can IMAGINE the pressure on Clemens. He's gonna go 1-6 innings allowing about 1-6 runs. THE TRIBE SHOULD WIN(Mind those Yankees fans).

I am not comfortable with Roger pitching today either, but what other choices do we have?
He has been pitched big in the past, so hopefully he will step and and earn that $$$$ that they gave him.
I heard that the Boss is gonna fire Torre if we lose this series. That will be a mistake.

There is no magic, that is just non-sense. And for my fellow posters who say "I'm not worried", I would be. You have a strictly fastball pitcher who is average at best-pitching against a team that eats fastballs for breakfast (dinner tonight). If Westbrook is just a little bit on-Yankees are done.

I say Clemens gets lit up and the Yanks are swept while a chorus of boos echoes through the stadium.

More importantly you aren't having to hit CC or Fausto!
Clemens will likely go 6 innings and give up only a run or two.
