You can't know for sure. Feeling love or thinking you feel it, and trying to figure out if it is requited, is all a gamble.

You can't. You love the thing that gives you what you want: period. When referring to someone who is a likely candidate for you to mate with, the dynamic becomes more convoluted. If children become involved, that makes it even more tangled. Sexual attraction is the strongest influence we have when we see someone we find attractive. My suggestion is to not exercise that urge right away. Get to know that person better, and actually do a credit check on him. How he handles his finances is a strong indicator of reliability. I realize this sounds callous, but hey guys, the same thing applies to the girls you find attractive. There are so many variables involved in love. Just take it slow. If it's love, it will sustain crisis.

If the feeling is returned and both of you respect and care for one another. Demands for change by either party are not displays of love but control. You need to look at the relationship and see what it is that you "love" and why. If the party you love cares for you, makes you feel safe, protected, cared for and appreciated and you do the same for them you are definitely on the right track. Good Luck!
