im not emo (except i have a few pairs of skinny jeans if you think that counts)
but i love the style.
and i think the guys are super-duper hott :D

I don't think it's the style that is looked down upon. I think it's more of the stereotypical "I hate the world because the world hates me. Nobody understands me!" that is made fun of.
The only thing about "emo style" that might be made fun of is that I guess emo people run around talking about what unique tortured souls they are, but "emo style" is everywhere and they all look the same? The fact that there is even a "style" makes it not unique.
But that's just my guess.

I dress the style all the time(nothing but black, red, white, and dark colors), and as a result, me and all my friends who dress that way get insulted constantly. Its because most (idiotic, if you ask me) people judge others on how they look. For example, people in bright colors are thought to be nice, people in dark clothes are thought to be scary and mean. Its basically all a stereotypical thing.
Another reason we're looked down upon, is because people think that "Emo" stands for cutting, depressed, freak. That's not true in the least. Not one of my friends fit that description, but dress the style, like me. It makes no sense to me either why we're all looked down upon for choosing to be ourselves/individuals, but, like it or not, we have to live with it.

nutin iz bad about being emo.
i have a friend thats emo actually... not rly 'emo' but she likes there band, clothing, etc

Because Emos are to thickheaded and to busy from thinking about themselfs to see the pleasures in life.. Instead they cry and cut their wrists and hate the world.... Idiots..

it is not that we don't like them when we don't really know them, but we do not agree with the wrist cutting and the choice of clothes. Each of us are different and I am not sure why people want to go thru life so sad it is way to short!

human beings do exactly no longer understand. there is an point of lack of wisdom in society, and while they're uneducated approximately issues that are a splash diverse from them, they have a bent to "be afraid" and not desire to affiliate. it is not your fault, merely stay your self.

cuz dey act depressed so that they can depress others and they smoke weed and act anti-sociably and dress weird. I think they do it for attention. If u think they are super hot then I'm afraid u have problems.
