I dropped out of college due to lack of money in my junior year. While I regret that now, I'm not sure I'll ever go back. If I get a sudden windfall I'll probably do it. Maybe. Has anyone else dropped out and regretted it?

I dropped out of college in the second year due to being unbelievably homesick. I wish I had made the choice to go to a college near my home instead of going away to school.
Now I am 56, and I will never go back to college.

I started my Freshman year of college this year and dropped out like a month later. It just wasn't what I wanted to do. I was only going because I felt pressured to do so. But, what I really want to do is be a hairstylist. So, in December, I start beauty school. I'm really excited and I don't regret anything. Hopefully, in a few years, I'll have my own salon and be doing really well. Good luck.

Yes. I could afford to go. my parents would have paid. But i was making more at my job than starting salary with an engineering degree. 25 yr. later it is costing me. A degree gets more money. May not be a job in the area of the degree but makes more jobs available. It may not be fair but two people doing the same job, the person with a degree will get higher pay in most cases.

I took couple of years off when my son was born, when my ex-fgirlfreind gave birth to him, and after two years I went back and I never regret it because I made them up by going back into the class field :)
If you feel you need to return, so you do not feel bad and sad about it...it is good to return when you get the money to pay for it...good luck!!!

it all depends on your situation if you have a good job and feel you make enough to live comfortably. Today its the ones that dont go to college who are doing well and the ones with degrees who are struggling you either got to know someone already in the business to get a foot in the door or start at the bottom and when i say bottom i mean bottom. good luck

I WENT 2 A COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOR LIKE 2 SEMESTERS AND THEN QUIT, I THEN WENT TO A TECHNICAL SCHOOL AND GOT A CERTIFICATION I WORK AS A PHARMACY TECH BUT IT'S NOT WHAT I WON'T 2 DO. I PLAN ON GOING BACK TO SCHOOL NEXT FALL. IF I COULD TURN BACK THE HANDS OF TIME I WOULD STAY IN SCHOOL AND WAITED 2 HAVE KIDDOS. BUT O WELL THEY ARE MY JOY AND I LEARNED SO MUCH FROM LIFE.
