Volcanoes allow heat from the magma to escape. They redistribute trace elements when they erupt. Volcanic ash may help plants grow later. Volcanic ash can also provide condensation particles to form raindrops. Volcanoes are part of a cycle for renewing the earth's crust. They also look neat when erupting, and one is far enough away.
