Friends are fiends. You like them for who they are. Each person is special as an individual, if they are like you, great, then you can do the same things. If they are different from you, then you can have new experiences. Accumulate as many friends as you can. As you go through life, friends have a tendency to move on to new jobs and cities, and over time you lose touch, the more friends you make, the more friends you will always have. Treasure them all.

I wouldn't be able to have a best friend with just one of those qualities. My best friend is funny but serious, calm but hyper, loyal, trustworthy, beautiful and inspiring. I have some of the same qualties so i think that's what makes us click. Our qualities intertwine so good together that we've been friends for 10 years now and i'm still not sick of her. I never will be. Try and find someone like that. It's so much more fun to have somone with depth rather than just one highlighted quality.

Have the best of both worlds. Nothing says you can't be friends with everyone. Different friends are more fun to be around but there is something comforting about friends who enjoy all the same things.

What is that old saying, oh ya. "Opposites attract." I have two best friends, we all have the same likes, dislikes and so on, however if there was someone else that came into my life that I really wanted to spend time with then I would chalk my self up as blessed to have her in my life. I had one friend who was the total opposite of me, however we got along great.

I would rather have really different friends. It makes the conversations more interesting. If you have friends who A. are the same and B. do the same things all the time
then they get reallllly boring.

i think you should have a good balance of both.
You can have way different groups of friends. I do!! IT makes life more interesting, and you always have someone to do something with; whether its going for a hike or hitting the mall or concert, they are always there!

KEEP YOUR OLD FRIENDS AROUND AS LONG AS YOU CAN. Maybe capital letters drill it into your skull. You need as many friends as will stay around in this life.
