Well, its not just scrolling I am having a problem with, when I click an icon, it will go up to the top. I am running on Windows XP and this happened awhile ago and It would stay and then leave, now the problem is short bursts. I really do not think it is a virus.
*Some more details*
I use both Mozilla and Internet Explorer and both of the browsers do the same thing.
I alternate between mouses. One is an optical mouse and the other is ball. I use the optical a lot yet, the problem occurs the most when I use the optical.
It just scrolls up, not down.
Please help. This problem has been interrupting my animation and gaming.

Hit left click. It might be that your scroll button is loose.
Try using some "contact cleaner" on your mouse Its expensive, you can get it at electronics stores, or maybe hardware stores.
Small spray cans run around 10 to 20 dollars.

Your laptop keyboard could be dirty if you are using to keyboard to select, but if it's the mouse and it's not optical mouse just change the mouse and see if you get the same problem.

only thing i can tell you is to lift up your elbow and stop laying on the damn computer....we wouldn't want to take away from your gaming! so productive, this world...
