Yes, I know the depression. I would like more things that happened as well or specifics of the depression.

Hoover's administration was badly hurt by agricultural problems, most notably the dust bowl in the midwestern states. Similar problems in Europe also caused trade problems. A poorly regulated economy was also going from boom to bust with a shortage of capital and high unemployment.
Hoover believed strongly in balancing the budget and remaining isolated from the rest of the world.
These ideas were well intended but probably the exact wrong remedy for fighting a depression. World War II helped end the Depression by stimulating the economy with defense spending and trade with the Allies as well as inducing full employment.
